Resumen:
Background: Argentina is a large South American country with diverse areas. The overcrowded metropolitan area of Buenos Aires, located in the pampas, is seat of the main seaport in Argentina. It presents medium TB rates and hosts recent migrants, mainly originated from highly TB endemic areas of Argentina and neighboring countries. In contrast, Jujuy, a sparsely populated Andean province, is predominantly inhabited by native American and mestizos. It is characterized by a fluent bidirectional mobility across the border with Bolivia, and shows the highest TB rates in the country.
