We studied NET formation (NETosis), the role of platelets and endothelium in two acute inflammatory pathologies, an infectious (S) and a sterile one (B). Objective: to shed light on the differential organ damage in S and B. Methods: we studied 22 S and 19 B patients 1 and 4 days post admission (dpa) to the intensive care unit and 30 healthy donors (H) as control.
