Resumen:
Galectin-1 (Gal1) is an endogenous lectin capable of silencing immune responses and blunting anti-tumor immunity. Since Gal1has been involved in shaping the B cell compartment and the role of these cells in cancer is not fully understood, we sought to understand the role of tumor-derived Gal1 on B cell development and activation. For this, we used the 4T1 murine breast cancer model, which recapitulates human metastatic disease and expresses high amounts of Gal1.
