Resumen:
The series of the Sibyls from the church of San Pedro Telmo in Buenos Aires is one of the most important groups of paintins of argentine colonial art[1] These twelve paintings depict the Sibyls prophesying on episodes of the life of Christ. Ten of them were performed in the 18th century while those correspond ing to the Delphic and Tiburtine Sibyls were painted in 1864 during the first restoration of the series in order to replace the originals due to their poor state of conservation.
