Resumen:
Recombinant human zona pellucida protein C (rec-hZPC) expressed in Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells associates to the acrosomal region of human spermatozoa, and inhibits sperm-ZP interaction in the Hemizona assay. Rec-hZPC may be a useful tool towards the development of diagnostic methods for male infertility and the elucidation of the molecular basis of fertilization.
