Resumen:
Alcohol consumption is common among human adolescents. Hence, the use of an experimental animal model could provide data to reach clinically relevant information. Given that alcohol intake might be affected by environmental stressors, the study of the effect of brief periods of voluntary alcohol intake on the behavior of adolescent rats housed individually or in groups could shed light on the vulnerability of developing CNS to isolation-induced stress. Thus, the aim of the present work was to assess potential changes on different behavioral parameters in isolated or grouped adolescent rats after alcohol intake for 24 h.
