Resumen:
Larrea divaricata exerts a dual effect on the proliferation of BW5147 cells. The aim of this work was to analyze the effect of leukotrienes on the antiproliferative action of the extract inrelation to cyclic adenosinemonophosphate production and protein kinase C activation. The extracts induced cyclic adenosinemonophosphate and inhibited protein kinase C but  induced leukotriene B4 production, which exerted contrary effects. These results suggest the finding of an extract free of compounds, which can increase leukotriene B4 level, in order to obtain amore active extract to be used in the treatment
