Resumen:
In natural environment, plant canopies do not normally produce continuous shade. Plants may be exposed every day to shade-light or to sunlight at given times of the photoperiod. We are largely ignorant of the consequences of these interruptions of the shade light signals on the extent of shade-avoidance reactions. The accumulation of Long hypocotyl in far red1 (HFR1) protein depends on a combination of opposites controls, positive and negative regulations, that optimize the response with short shade signals. The aim of this project is to understand the balance of this regulation, if depends on the duration and/or intensity of the shade. To carry out this project I?ll be using synthetic biological sensor system for quantifying HFR1 protein in Arabidopsis protoplast exposed to different shade conditions.
