Resumen:
LDV is a RNA nidovirus that infects mice and induces NK, macrophages and B cell activation. We demonstrated that the infection produces an important modification in the specificity of the antibodies (Ab). However, the responsible mechanisms of modulation of the humoral immune response by this virus are not known. Since the Ab specificity is crucial in the development of vaccines because it is necessary to induce neutralizing Ab, the purpose of this project is study the mechanisms of modulation of the humoral immune response starting to identify, through auto-vaccination and monoclonal Ab, the cytokines involved in this change of specificity.
