Resumen:
The competition of the fields of knowledge offered by the National Academies, a group of outstanding individuals with extensive experience in the different specialties, is an optimal instrument to participate in the planning and implementation of projects that lead the University to meet the needs of Argentina of tomorrow. Education is the necessary instrument to fulfill this challenge before the acceleration of technological change and the study of the sciences must accompany this acceleration. Increasing the speed of progress in these areas makes it necessary to re-evaluate teaching methodologies to keep the University up to date and useful for the growth of the Society in our country. In this document we propose the diagnosis of the current situation of research and university teaching and the actions that we should take as Academies in order to propose changes in the structure of university education. They are: a) Assuming a consolidated position of the Academies and express it firmly before the authorities, educational organizations and society, in order to take the best path for the country´s sustained development through a state policy, b) Contribute in the selection of the most accredited actors to form an association that anticipates the concrete needs and the consequent changes in university education; c) To combine the thoughts of those who will be guided, through their knowledge and clarity of concepts, to express their views on the course to follow in the medium and long term, and advise on the steps that our university education should follow in order to better train the professionals of tomorrow, d) To propose a new vision that requires to evolve and complement new and diverse alternatives that allow to attend the demands of the student population with respect to a future reality, d) Fostering the work Interdisciplinary in order to achieve curricular integration; e) Promote universal, ethical and environmental values in teaching practice; f) Collaborate in the redesign of curricula and plans of study; g) Create an ethics committee from the Academies, to supervise the continuous changes in technologies and research proper to the accelerated progress that affects us, and h) To manage before the educational authorities and the national and provincial governments, supporting all instances of improvement and implementation of overcoming ideas
