Resumen:
A moderately-sized landslide occurred in August 2003 on a slope in the Andean foothills in northwestern Argentina. The area is sparsely inhabited and the day on which the slide took place could not be precisely constrained. The slide disrupted regolith and rock leaving a steep-walled scar and severing a 100-m long segment of forest road used for maintenance of a communicatios antenna. The slid block travelled downslope a few 10's of meters, undergoing fragmentation and torsion. On the basis of a detailed topographic survey and structural evidence, this paper discusses the geometry and kinematics of the slide.
