Resumen:
This paper shows an exploratory research carried out in a shell-midden context from the Beagle Channel (Tierra del Fuego, Argentina) named Lanashuaia, which corresponds to a dwelling of the hunter-fisher-gatherer group Yamana. The aim of this pilot study has been the recovering of different types of residues from lithics. Field sampling methodology and laboratory procedures are discussed. Different techniques, such as use-wear and phytolith analyses and tests for the identification of blood residues have been applied to an assemblage of 34 lithic artifacts.
