Resumen:
Abstract. The Environmental Atlas of Buenos Aires is an interactive artifact developed for a better understanding and management of the megacity of Buenos Aires. This Latin American metropolis has almost 13 million inhabitants (a third of Argentina’s total population), and is one of the most densely populated cities in the world. Geomatic technology and multimedia resources have been used to provide the most relevant and up-to-date information about Buenos Aires, as well as face the study of its environment, structure, dynamics, and sustainability. The Environmental Atlas of Buenos Aires can be explored in three different, complementary ways, depending on the users needs and preferences: through the landscape units, thematic units or interactive maps. Keywords: GIS, Environment, Buenos Aires.
