Resumen:
We thank Panero (1) for his interest in ourpaper (2). However, we consider his interpretations(1) somewhat incomplete and misleading,principally because he reports resultsusing methods that we did not apply in ourstudy, and underestimates the importance ofpollen morphological characters in phylogeneticstudies. We respond to each of thesepoints with the aim of clarifying his misinterpretationsabout our paper.
