Resumen:
Magneticbinarynanofillerscontainingmultiwallcarbonnanotubes(MWCNT)andhercynitewere synthesizedbyChemicalVaporDeposition(CVD)onFe/AlOOHpreparedbythesol?gelmethod.The catalystprecursorwasfiredat450 1C, groundandsiftedthroughdifferentmeshes.Twopowderswere obtainedwithdifferentparticlesizes:sampleA(50?75 mm)andsampleB(smallerthan50 mm).These powdersarecomposedofironoxideparticleswidelydispersedinthenon-crystallinematrixof aluminumoxideandtheyarenotferromagnetic.Afterreductionprocessthepowdersarecomposedof a-Fe nanoparticlesinsidehercynitematrix.Thesenanofillersarecomposedofhercynitecontaining a-Fe nanoparticlesandMWCNT.Thebinarymagneticnanofillerswereslightlyferromagnetic.Thesaturation magnetizationofthenanofillersdependedonthepowderparticlesize.Thenanofillerobtainedfrom powderparticlesintherange50?75 mm showedasaturationmagnetization36%higherthantheone formedfrompowderparticlessmallerthan50 mm. Thephenomenonisexplainedintermsofchanges in themagneticenvironmentoftheparticlesasconsequenceofthepresenceofMWCNT.
