Resumen:
Urban studies have been embraced by a variety of disciplines, each with concepts and theories of their own, favoring the emergence of an interesting discussion of ideas. For instance, environmental quality is a vague concept addressed by multiple disciplines, often associated with other notions, also diffuse and complex, such as quality of life, sustainability, and livability (Van Kamp et al. 2003). For Fishbein (1969, p. 2130) the quality of the environment actually means the quality of life for being a social phenomenon, social because man is the focus of concern. Urban Landscapes. Environmental Networks and the Quality of Life examines biotic and abiotic interactions at an urban scale among different components that contribute to environmental quality with landscape as the area of contact between natural and human factors and as a key component of life quality for people everywhere.
