Resumen:
This work explores the main implications of the consumption of marine resources by ancient human populations of the Patagonian Atlantic coast. Coastal technology and the marine signal inland are discussed. Finally it is argued that the coast could function as a refuge area at times of impoverishment of the interior ecosystems.
