Resumen:
The performance of a commercial CuO/alumina catalyst in the CWPO of phenol solutions is investigated in a laboratory batch reactor. Experiments were performed addressing the effect of temperature and hydrogen peroxide dosage on phenol conversion and mineralization. For all conditions investigated, multiple step H2O2 addition resulted in improved phenol conversion and mineralization. Complete phenol abatement and 98% mineralization were obtained at 343 K, supplementing the peroxide in sequential applications. phenol conversion and mineralization.
