Resumen:
A nanosized SnO2 particle dispersion was prepared through sol-gel route followed by hydrothermal synthesis. The dispersion was modified for screen-printing and FTO glass was coated with it. The films were heat-treated at 420ºC for 20 minutes. The dispersion presented crystalline SnO2 particles of about 10 nm. The films showed BET surface area of 71.0 m²g-1 and thicknesses nearly 7 μm (single layer) and 14 μm double layer.  Cells were mounted and showed conversion efficiencies of 0.76 – 0.83%. These films are suitable for application in Dye-Sensitizer Solar Cells.
