Resumen:
The objective of this work is to obtain thin films in which the order of CNC remains. One possible way to obtain this type of films would be to chemically modify the surface of the CNC to further crosslink them retaining the ordering (capability of self-assembling in liquid crystals domains has to be preserved after modification). In this case we will use two synthetic paths to obtain methacrylate groups in the surface of the nanocrystals using 3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate and we will further use photopolimerization. Other possible way to obtain films with optical activity could be the type of processing for obtaining them.
