Resumen:
In this work, the goal is to obtain a water-based polyurethane (WBPU) as matrix of composite films, using as bio-precursors a vegetable oil, increasing the content of bio-based reagents in the polymer and also reducing the emission of VOCs when the films are produced from aqueous dispersions. The incorporation of bio-reinforcement is proposed: cellulose nanocrystals (CNC) and bacterial cellulose (BC), which show very good compatibility with WBPUs. Nanocellulose incorporated to the WBPU improves mechanical properties, while increasing the use of renewable resources in the formulation of the composites.
