Resumen:
Flexible polyurethane foams belong to a well-known class of polymeric materials that offers the possibility to be used in thermal and acoustic insulation, among others. The use of natural raw materials and/or waste products in their formulation is a big challenge with environmental and economic advantages. In this sense, this work proposes to prepare and characterize filled flexible foams made from a commercial polyurethane formulation modified with glycerol and using particles of waste tires (WTP) as filler of poor thermal and acoustic conduction. The incorporation of glycerol as cross-linker is also associated with technologies based on sustainable resources, since it is a byproduct of biodiesel production.
