Resumen:
Extracellular matrix has a heterogeneous and hierarchical network architecture that surrounds cells, providing mechanical support and biologically interactive environment that facilitates both cellular and organ function. In this study, gelatin and N-isopropylacrylamide-based interpenetrating network hydrogels (NxPyG) were development to fabricate 3D matrix systems. A series of hydrogels IPN with different contents in gelatin methacrylate (GelMA) and polyNIPA-PEG (NxPy) were obtained. GelMA and NxPy were characterized by Habeeb?s assay, FTIR and 1H-NMR. IPN hydrogels were characterized by ATR-FTIR, swelling measurements, OM, and SEM. Copolymers with lower PEG content were selected for IPN synthesis because their solubility. OM images demonstrated that hydrogel propertieschange around 37ºC. Above LCST, the translucent colorless hydrogel changes to opaque white hydrogel. A wide range of IPN gels with different swelling properties, drug-loading apacity and potential applications in different fields can be produced by controlling experimental parameters.
