Resumen:
Chitosan/magnetite nanocomposites were synthesized by in situ precipitation of the magnetic nanoparticles (MNP). The films were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, contact angle, tensile tests and magnetometry. The results indicated a reduction in the hydrophilicity of the films, as well as changes in morphology of the samples with the incorporation of iron oxide nanoparticles. The magnetic analysis showed that superparamagnetic behavior is observed for the unplasticized films with 5 and 7 wt% of MNP and for the sample with 7 wt% of MNP in the film plasticized with glycerol.
