Resumen:
Melamine-formaldehyde (MF) microcapsules have been extensively used during the last decades because of their low price, easily controlled preparation, high compatibility and good thermal and chemical stability. However, the properties of these microcapsules such as their shape, size distribution, shell thickness, core content, stiffness, compatibility, etc. are affected by many different synthetic parameters. To our knowledge, a high-throughput platform was developed for the first time for the synthesis of microcapsules to screen the effects of the parameters playing a role on the capsule properties. This unique platform provides a robust and fast preparation technique of microcapsules by using an automated system making the analysis of a large number of MF microcapsules with variable properties possible.
