Resumen:
The sensitivity of Mater bi-Y and sisal fibre composites to long – time exposure to different environments: aqueous (biotic) and soil-burial was analyzed. The preferential removal of starch which was the most bio-susceptible material was revealed by Thermo-gravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Scanning Electronic Microscopy (SEM) observations. Fibres seemed to play a secondary role in this process.
