Resumen:
Shape memory nanocomposites were obtained by dispersion of magnetic Nps in an epoxy matrix modified with oleic acid. A good compatibilization fNPs with the alkyl chain-modified matrix was attained once the polar and incompatible acid groups were removed from the medium (at low conversions). The obtained materials showed a good recovery of the original shape after heating above Tg. Activation of the shape memory effect by an alternating magnetic field was successful, making these systems promising as remote actuators.
